Another new medical center is available to Loudoun County residents this week at Patient First located in Potomac Station Center (located behind the Green Turtle).
Late night! Open to 10pm.
Loudoun Times ran a nice piece about the opening, but only spoke of the nurses. Very important people, of course, but don’t you want to know who are the Doctors? Also what about insurance plan participation?
According to their website, there will be four Doctors on staff at the Leesburg Office.
One Physician stands out, Isaac Yoon, M.D.
An impressive resume as an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, possibly he studied under Dr. Robert Wood like our Pediatrician in Purcellville, and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic. He is member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is also board certified in Family Practice. This seems like a nice fit for the growing (*insert cough* food allergy) population in Loudoun.
His experience is very similar to our Allergist, Dr. Paluvoi in Lansdowne, who prior to allergy and asthma Specialty, practiced as both a Pediatrician and emergency Physician. He’s wonderful with the kids and understands the importance of parent education in managing a new diagnosis. Dr. Paluvoi likes to get to know the area Physicians, so I just might have to connect them.
As reported, no appointments are taken at Patient First, however, if Ella has non threatening allergy or asthma issues after our regular Physician office hours, it would be nice to know, Dr. Yoon might be on the schedule.
